Dr. Sona Babu is an ophthalmologist with clinical experience and a strong academic interest in the field of eye care. She completed her MBBS from Azeezia Medical College, Kollam, in 2018, followed by her MS in Ophthalmology from Government Medical College, Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, in 2025.
Following her postgraduate training, Dr. Sona Babu worked as a Senior Resident at Jubilee Mission Medical College and Research Institute, Thrissur, where she gained further clinical experience in ophthalmology and contributed to patient care in a tertiary-care setting.
Her professional interests also extend to academic research and medical education. She has presented both a paper and a poster at the Mid-Term Conference of the All India Ophthalmological Society (AIOS), reflecting her active involvement in academic ophthalmology. Her research work has focused on viral keratitis, an important infectious condition affecting the cornea. She has also published an article based on her work in this area.
With a combination of clinical training, academic engagement and research experience, Dr. Sona Babu is committed to providing attentive and evidence-based ophthalmic care.
