Dr Binu Balan is a senior consultant and a prolific cataract phaco surgeon with vast experience of over 20 years in adult, pediatric and complicated cataracts. He also heads the Pediatric Ophthalmology Clinic. His expertise lies in complex cataract surgeries, simple and complex strabismus (squint) in adults and children, and amblyopia (lazy eye ) in children. He is a faculty member for the DNB postgraduate teaching program.

Dr Binu completed his medical training from SRTR Medical College, Ambejogai and post-graduate from Aurangabad Govt Medical College and Little Flower Hospital Angamaly. He was trained in pediatric ophthalmology from Sankara Nethralaya Chennai in 2000 and Ganapati Netralaya Jalna. He has worked as a consultant in various eye hospitals in India and Kerala before joining our team in 2013.
